BR1-12 The Story of Castles

Everyone knows that fairytale kings and queens live in castles. (p.3)

First, a wealthy lord built the castle like a tower to protect the villagers. They were made by wood, but wooden castles burned too easily. Many lords thought wood is not good, so they began to built castle by stone. The castle was safe, but it was dark, noisy, cold, and smelly. The purpose of the castle was to defend enemy, so there were many system to do it. For example, The gate had a trap to catch enemy, the roof had holes to throw stones to enemy, ...etc. I found that the castle was a place to fight for enemy, to cerebrate for win, to live and protect ourselves. At first, I thought castle is king's house, but castle is not only king's house, but also the rich's house. I learned about the history of castle. It's so surprised!

BR1-11 The Billy Goats Gruff

Once upon a time, three billy goats lived on a farm, in the shadow of a mountain. (p.3)

One winter, there was very little food on the farm. They were hungry, so they had to move. they decided to go to Juicy Fields. They had to cross a bridge to go to there, but terrible troll live near the bridge. Youngest and middle goats were so terrified. I wonder Troll live in there is truth? Were they safe?
The oldest goats got separated from his brothers. I worried about them. The youngest tried to cross the bridge. The troll was appeared!! It's so scary! The troll was hungry. The youngest said that my brother is taster than me, so troll waited for the goat. The middle appeared. Troll was so hungry. The middle said my oldest brother is the fattest. I think they were so miserable. They are cowards! The oldest appeared. Troll tried to eat him, but the oldest was so strong. he won the troll. It's so amazing! He became a hero! I was so surprised!

BR1-10 Parallel

An young woman is died by a man. The man is a killer, Mac. One day, A man came to see Mac to ask a job. The man told Mac about parallel world. Mac living the parallel world is a priest. It's difficult for me to understand.Who is the woman? Does she have relation to this story? Parallel world? Why this world's Mac  and Parallel world's Mac  do different job? The man said that if you work for me, I'll take you parallel world. The man and Mac came parallel world by mysterious train. I think it's so mysterious to go to parallel world by train. Mac met Parallel world's Mac. He ask him that "Why he became priest? " He answered his parents died by car accident and he was so angry about that. When he went to church, He wasn't getting angry. So he is become priest. Mac was shocked. After he met the priest, he met a woman he killed. The man said that the woman is my daughter. I don't know what the story tell the reader. I think this story is very difficult.

This book is in the Cambridge English Readers series.

BR1-09 The Nutcracker

A soft fluffy layer of snow covered Clara's house on Christmas Eve.(p.3)

Clara was waiting for one very special guest. The guest was come! The guest was her godfather. Something magical always happened when he was around. It's so surprised! He gave her a very special present. I was concerned about the present is. That night, Clara opened the present by the Christmas tree. The present was a wooden nutcracker doll, dressed like a soldier. The present was a tug with a message " I hope this protect you..." Protect? I thought it's mystery. Just then, she was asleep there. She woke up and noticed she was shrinking! She met the Nutcracker prince. He said that "The kitchen mice will kidnap you and I'm here to protect you." He helped Clara to the mice, but he fought the mice king and he was about to lose the king. Clara threw her shoe to the king. She helped the prince. After that, the prince took her two places to celebrate it. The two places were icy castle and the land of sweets. The both places were so beautiful! When she went back from two places to her home, she fell asleep. She woke up and she was near the tree. She thought it was a dream at first, but she saw the Nutcracker doll and thought maybe it wasn't just a dream. I think it is so mysterious!

BR1-08 The Twelve Dancing Princesses

Their father, the king, was a grumpy old man who didn't believe in having fun. （p.4）

He had twelve daughters. He banned them dancing. They strongly disagreed his idea, so they danced every night. Why they could do it? They slept the tower and the king locked the tower door every night. It's mysterious! The king didn't know that, so he decided that the first man to discover where his daughters went each night could marry one of them. Many princes and knights visit his castle to discover the mystery, but they couldn't do it. One day, a masician came his castle. He used masic and he succeed it. It's unbelievable! The king let the masician marry one of his daughters. The wedding was a joyful occasion and the king allowed his daughters to dance one night only. Everyone looked happy!

This book is in the Usborne Young Reading series. It has nice illustration. I recommend that everyone   read this book.

BR1-07 The Broken Roof

Someone had broken the fence down and dumped junk on the field.(p.2)

Mrs.May found a mangle. Her student asked her how to use the tool, so she used this and showed that. She asked her children if they had any old things at home. One of the student, Biff, Chip and Kipper took their little house. The little house has the magic. one student broken their house's roof in accident.  Kipper was upset. Just then the magic  key began to glow. Magic is start! It's surprised! The magic took them back in time. They were stood in front of an old house. The house is alike their little house. The house's roof was broken. Two workmen was mending the roof. They saw many old tool there. Suddenly the key began to glow. They backed their home. Surprisingly, The little house's roof has been mended!

This book is in the Oxford Reading Tree series. It has cute illustrations, and it has nice stories. I recommend that everyone to read this book.

BR1-06 The Fish that Talked

One day, Manu was wading in a stream. A tiny fish into his hands.(p.4~5)

The fish could talk! It's so surprised! The fish said that I want you to help a big fish, so Manu carried the fish home. He put the fish into the jar of water, but the fish grew and it was too big for the jar. The fish grew very much. Finally, He couldn't live in the river. The fish was so enormous! It's amazing! The fish asked Manu to take the sea and Manu did so. "Thank you. Now it's my turn to help you." said the fish. The fish told Manu that there is going to be a great flood. Manu must build a boat. Because of the fish, Manu and many animals could alive and they could reached a great mountain. Surprisingly, The fish was a powerful god! " You can rebuild the world." said the god, so Manu worked hard to rebuild the world. He became a king!

This book is in the Usborne First Reading series. It has nice illustrations, and it has interesting story. I recommend that everyone read this book.

BR1-05 The Dinosaur Who Lost His Roar

Sid lived in the middle of a forest.(p.4)

He most liked scaring other dinosaurs. "ROAR!" He had the loudest roar of all. He often crept up other dinosaurs and scared them. It's so bad! One day, Sid lost his roar. He couldn't scare them.　It is natural for him to hurt his throat. He roared too much!  He cured his throat, so next day, his throat was better! He thought " I'll say sorry for them to scare." He searched them, but they wasn't. Although he found them, there was a huge dinosaur! It's so terrible! They were taken by the dinosaur. He think so, but he wanted to help them. He crept up to the dinosaur! He could helped them to the dinosaur! I'm so surprised!

BR1-04 The Musicians of Bremen

Once upon a time, there was a very mean man.(p.2)

He was mean to his donkey, dog, cat and the rooster. I think he was too harsh to his livestock. One day, the man decided to eat his rooster because his rooster is too old. His rooster is poor! The rooster didn't want to eat, so he and the man's other livestock decided to go to Bremen and join the town band. When they walked to go to Bremen, they found a house. There were a lot of food and drink, but the house was in  a gang of robbers! It's so horrible! Although they might think so, they wanted place to sleep and they were hungry. they burst into the room! They won! I was  surprised! They liked the house very much and they never did go to Bremen. They never did become musicians. I was so surprised! I thought they looked happy, but they lost their purpose!!

BR1-03 The Reluctant Dragon

It's a dragon! The villagers so terrified, but a boy didn't. He wanted to befriend the dragon. I think he is so brave. He went out to meet the dragon. The dragon was so friendly, so they became good friends. The dragon was so kind, but the villagers wanted to get rid of him. One day, a dragon killer appeared in the village. It's a bad news for the boy. He told the dragon killer that the dragon isn't terrified. The boy asked him to pretend fight. The dragon killer agreed it. Next day, the plan was succeed! The boy was clever.   The dragon killer and the dragon was wonderful! Everyone was so happy! I feel so happy, too!

This book is in the Usborne First Reading series. It has cute illustrations, and it has a nice story about dragon. I want you to read it.

BR1-02 Stories of Princes & Princesses

This story has four stories. First, the story is  ”The clumsy prince” . Second is ”The princess who wouldn't get married” . Third is " The princess and the pig boy". Forth is " The smelly prince". First story is the prince is so clumsy. I'm so worried him, but he ws rescued princess. It was so cool. Second story is the princess who didn't want to married. Her father want her to married, so he let her to marry poor man. I was so surprised the climax. Third story is the prince is so poor. He fell in love with a rich princess, but she didn't love him. He didn't give up her, so he  worked her palace. I was so surprised his action.  Forth story is the prince is smelly. He is so dirty and evil. I didn't like him at first. One day, he capture a princess to marry. I was so excited the climax.
 The book is in the Usborne  Young Reading series. It has nice illustrations. I recommend everyone read it.

BR1-01 HENRY AND MUDGE AND THE Bedtime Thumps

Henry and his dog Mudge were going to the country with Henry's parents.

Henry visited his grandmother's house. It looked interesting. He  looked so fun, but he looked so worried about his dog Mudge. It was the First time Mudge visit his grandmother's home, so he was worried Mudge do mischief his grandma. He was worried Mudge has to sleep outside and he has to sleep alone, too. At night, Henry couldn't sleep because Mudge slept outside and he was alone. He went outside to see Muidge and slept there with Mudge. Henry is so cute! Henry and Mudge looked so happy.

Stone Soup

A man who looking for a place to stay. he asked an old woman to stay her house, but he  was refused. He said to her " I can cook soup.", so she allowed to him to cook it. He had a special stone. The stone made the soup delicious. She was so happy to eat it, so she permitted him to stay her house. I'm concern the stone!

This weekend

I didn't have club activity and part time job, so I had a free time. When I am free,
I usually watch anime, play game, do housework and study. One week later, I have  important test. I studied hard, but I played game and  watch anime. I yielded to temptation…

The old woman who lived in a shoe

A old woman lived in a shoe with her children. the children was so many! She have to another shoe to live, but she couldn't find big shoe to live at shoe store. One day, she met a giant who injured his foot. She helped him and she got his shoe. she and her children lived happily.

THE INCH PRINCE

"THE INCH PRINCE" is a story "Issunnboushi".I had never read Japanese story in English!  
 The story is the couple who hadn't child. One day, they were gifted one inch boy. After he grew, he left his house to find work. He was too small to work, he was laughed at many people, but he found his work and he married ! He was not small! What did he do after that? I want you to read it!

Princess Polly and the Pony

The princess loved horse-riding, But her parents, the king and the queen wasn't allowed her to ride on a horse. Although she wasn't permitted for her parents to ride on a horse, she　take part in a horse-riding competition. The competition was allowed to make winner's wish grant. She didn't want to  become winner because the fact that she took part in the competition for her parents, but she won the race. What happened after the race? What dream she wish? Let's read it!"

This weekend

last weekend, I didn't have club activity. I had a lot of free time, so I played game with my smartphone, I shopping, I watched Anime "my hero academia” and ”Detective Conan". If I have club activity, I can't these. I can relax and I had a good weekend.

This weekend

I went Makurazaki in Kagoshima to diving as a club training camp. It was bad weather because of typhoon, but it was good in the sea. There were a lot of beautiful fish. Although diving is difficult, I had a good time. After I went back Kumamoto, I joined closing party. I had a very good time, too!

The Leopard and the Sky God

The leopard had a drum which had a nice sound. The sky god want to play the drum, so he asked the leopard to play the drum. Leopard never borrowed him. He really want to play the drum. He couldn't never give up. He asked the other animals to ask the leopard to borrow the drum, but many animals couldn't. The little tortoise volunteer to ask the leopard. Many animals Laughed at him, but he succeed it! Why he succeed it? It's my recommendation!

Androcles and the Lion

Androcles work hard like a slave, so he escaped. He walk in a dark forest, he met a lion which injured his foot. He is so scared, but he help the lion. The lion is so happy and they become a good friends. One day, androcles was arrested and made fight brutal lions. He was prepared for death, but the lion is his friend! He was received his brave by the audience. He lived happily with the lion.

Abe Lincorn AND THE MUDDY PIG

Young abe lincoln is hurry to his speech. When he go to the place to speech, he found a pig get be caught in the mud. He didn't have enough time to help the pig, but he helped him. Why did he help the pig? How something will end up his speech? Let's read it!

The Boy Who cried Wolf

There is a boy who take care of sheep.He is so boring because he look after it all day. One day, he conceive an interesting idea. He cried"wolf! wolf! Wolf would be eat my sheep!" The villagers run to help him, but there is no wolf! He wanted to cheat them. He do the same thing many times. The day come, the wolves really appear! He asked to help the villagers, but no one believed him. his sheep was eaten by the wolves. I learned " No one believes liars, even when they tell the truth." about the story.

Clever Rabbit and the Wolves

A rabbit would be eaten by the wolves. the rabbit says "Do you want to see my dance?" The big wolf says "No.", but The little wolf says "Yes!". The rabbit begin dancing and induce them to dance with him. After do that, He succeed to escape the wolves! How did the rabbit succeed to escape them? I was surprised the story's climax and the rabbit's intelligence!

In winter, Henry and his dog Mudge took a walk. They found a poster about the snowman contest. Henry want to enter the contest, so he asked his father to enter it. Next weekend, They entered the contest. What kind of snowman they make? Do they win the contest? Let's read it!

Little red riding hood lived with her parents. One day, she asked her mother to take cake for her grandmother. When she bring it for her grandma, a wolf found her. The wolf want to eat her. She arrived her grandma's house and the wolf disguised as her grandma. She didn't notice it is not her grandma. She would be  eaten by the wolf or not? I want you to read it!

The Hare and the Tortoise

The rabbit loves running. He was running whenever he can. He was proud of his running, so he Laughed the turtle which runs so slowly. One day, the rabbit
planed to hold a race and he recruited the member compete with him. The turtle ran for the race. Nobody thought the turtle wins the race, but
the rabbit took a nap between the race. After all, the rabbit lost the race. I think the story tells us "Slow and steady wins the race".

This Weekend

Last Saturday, I went Amakusa as a club activity. I have gone there for four times!
I practiced detaching diving equipment in the sea. It was very difficult. I need
to practice it more.
Last Sunday, I went pool at kumamoto
university. I practiced hard and I was
so tired. But,  I could detaching
diving equipment. I'm glad that I could
it.

Puss in Boots

The father who had three son and he had died. After the dead,
the olderest son was given a farm, the second son was given the house
and the youngest son was given a cat. the oldest and second could earn
money to his father's heritage, but the youngest had trouble how to earn
money. So the cat made effort to make his master rich. Finally, the youngest
could marry the princess and lived happily with the cat.
I had surprised the cat cleverness.

Peter and the Wolf

Peter is a boy who lived with his grandfather. He lived a house where
around the green and the dark forest. his grandfather said him not
to go out the garden because the hungry wolf in the forest, but he
went out of the garden and he met the wolf. Although the wolf was
so horrify, he caught the wolf! I was so surprised his courage!

LLC

I went LLC. I could get information about studying abroad, I read pop-up book,
I rent i-pad and English DVD there. It is very convenient when we study English
or want to go abroad.

This Weekend

Last Sunday, I went drinking party with my club mates and club seniors.
We went "syabusyabu dining rokuroku."  I had eaten syabusyabu at first.
It is very delicious! I had a good time!

The Princess and the Pea

The price wanted to marry, but he wanted to marry a real princess.
One day, a girl came to see him. The price and queen tested her
that she is a real princess. So the queen hided a pea. Next day,
they knew the girl is a real princess, so the price and the princess
were married. But l can’t realize the way to recognize a real princess.

HENRY AND MUDGE AND Annie’s Perfect Pet

Annie is Henry’s cousin. She wanted to have her own pet
 because Henry has his dog Mudge. So Henry and his parents
went pet shop with her to find her pet. She don’t like a big,
scary animal. Therefore she decided to have a small rabbit.
She looked so happy!

The Three Little Pigs

The three pigs built each houses. One is a straw, other is a wood, other is a brick.
The big and bad wolf came their houses to eat them. Their houses made of straw
and wood are broken by the wolf, but the house made of brick wasn’t broken
by him. They were survived and they attacked the wolf.

HENRY AND MUDGE AND THE Long Weekend

Henry and his dog Mudge were boring one winter day because it was not snow.
So they couldn’t play outside. Henry and his father
were watching TV because they couldn't play
outside. Henry still felt boring and he and his father
fell asleep. His mother had a nice idea that making castle make from boxes. It was so exciting! They were not boring.They had a nice weekend.

Heidi

Heidi was lived with her aunt. One day, Heidi had to live with  her grandfather.
Heidi became friends with Peter there . He is a boy who take care of goats.
Heidi  was so happy the life with her grandpa, but she had to go her aunt’s
friends house. Heidi was so sad.Although Heidi liked Crara who lived there
and she can’t walk without wheelchair.she wanted to go back her grandpa’s home. She became sick because of loneliness, so she went back her grandpa’s. Surprisingly, Crara came
there to stay one week there. Peter is jealous of Crara so he threw her wheelchair.
But, Crara got to walk without her wheelchair.
 Heidi was so happy and theybecame a best friends forever.

The Elves and the Shoemaker

A poor shoemaker and his wife lived a little town. He has a little leather to
make only one shoes. One night, he cut the leather and went to bed.
While he was sleeping, some elves started to make shoes.
Next morning, he and his wife were surprised to finish making shoes.
The shoes were so beautiful and sell well. The incident was lasted long,
so he and his wife became rich. They and the elves were lived happily
forever.

The Ugly Ducking

A duck had some chicks. They are so cute, but the one is so ugly.
The ugly duck was disliked by everyone, so he always alone.
He grew up and became beautiful. He became a swan.
He became friends with other swans. He looked so happy!

HENRY AND MUDGE TAKE THE Big Test

Henry has a dog called Mudge. Henry wants him to be a good dog.
Henry and his parents took Mudge to the dog school.
The school gives a test to be a good dog. Mudge made a effort to be a great dog,
and he passed the test. Henry and his parents were very happy!

HENRY AND MUDGE AND Annie's Good Move

Annie is one of Henry's cousin. Henry loves her. Mudge is Henry's dog.
He loves her, too. She used to lived far away from him,
 but she and her familymove to next door to henry's house!
Henry is glad to hear that. Annie is happy because she loves them, too.
Although Annie is looking forward to move there, she gets hives
to get nervous this moving. Her condition was so bad, but thanks to
Henry and Mudge's help, she got well.
 

This Weekend

Last Saturday, I went Amakusa to practice diving as a club activity.

 I was injured by　diadema. Diadema  is called "Gangaze" in Japanese.                   

Diving is difficult, but I had a good time. 

Last Sunday, I went kumamoto univercity's pool
to practice diving. Training was very hard.
Although I'm so tired, I could practice well.

HENRY AND MUDGE in the Green Time

I read a book "READY TO READ LEVEL TWO ". This title is "HENRY AND MUDGE
in the Green Time". It has three stories. The first story "The Picnic" , Henry
and his big dog Mudge went to picnic. They were enjoying picnic , but Henry
was injured by a bee. Although he was crying , Mudge made him smile.
the second story "The Bath" , Henry liked  to give Mudge a bath ,but Mudge
is don't liked a bath. Although Mudge hated a bath , they looked exiciting
when they were taking a bath. The third story "The Green Time" , they
went to the top of a green hill. Henry felt like a king. They looked so happy.
